Useful Game Genie codes

  • region-free ("JUE") games for Mega Drive : LYAT-AY1T + EAAT-AL1W
  • region-free ("F") games for 32X : EAAT-AN1T + EAAT-AASW
  • region-free ("JUE") Golden Axe 3 for Mega Drive : BT7T-CA9E + AA7T-CN9R (green code seems to be optional...)
  • region-change for Megaman the Wily Wars/Rockman Megaworld on Mega Drive :
    ENAT-A5NR + EAAT-AY1T + REBT-A6XL for JAP
    ENAT-A5NR + EAAT-BL1T + REBT-A6XL for USA
    ENAT-A5NR + EAAT-AL1T + REBT-A6XL for EUR
    (
green code seems to be optional...)

For more unprotect codes, take a look to this page (French only).

Notes

  • region-free codes only work with simple-protected games on Mega Drive (99.9% of protected games). They do not work with Golden Axe 3 and Megaman the Wily Wars, who are having enhanced protections.
  • 32X codes might not work with a real console, but they work correctly with emulators (Kega, Gens,...) ; in the same way, Pro Action Replay starting with "FF" are known for not working with a real console.
  • about muti-version games, codes might only work with the most common version. That's the case with some codes for Sonic the Hedgehog, which only work with the occidental version, not with japanese revision.
You should quickly be aware if a code does not work properly...

1973 : suite à son lancement dans le secteur du Jeu Vidéo, SEGA abandonne son logo rouge au look rétro très "jukebox", et opte pour un logo bleu au look plus moderne, proche de celui qu'on connaît aujourd'hui.
